Positron-cyclotron maser for the core emissions from pulsars

摘要: We use the cyclotron-maser theory to explain core emission from the: magnetosphere of pulsars. As a kind direct and efficient maser type emission, it can give rise escaping radiation with extremely high brightness temperature narrow angle respect magnetic axis. find that growth rates real frequencies O-mode electromagnetic wave propagating parallel fields depend on ratio plasma frequency omega(p) gyrofrequency omega(b) rather than alone, as described by other models. The takes place in region where magnitude omega(p)/omega(b) is 10(-2). corresponding altitude about few decades neutron star radius, field strength 10(6) - 10(8) G. cyclotron instability change very sensitively omega(p)/omega(b), which function radius r center star. It results steep radius-to-frequency mapping radio emissions magnetospheres, thus compact region. A qualitative spectrum lower cut-off could be obtained this model.
