摘要: Melioidosis is a disease caused by gram-negative bacterium, Burkholderia pseudomallei. Endemic to Southeast Asia, Taiwan, China, Central and South America, northern Australia, sporadic infections occur throughout the world, usually in travelers disease-endemic areas (1–3). Humans are infected soil contamination of puncture wounds. Respiratory tract infection most common sign this (3). Cutaneous melioidosis with necrotizing fasciitis rare: we found no reports cutaneous only one previous report fasciitis, which complicated postoperative drainage parotid abscess (4).
