摘要: Several natural isolates of Escherichia coli O157:H7 have previously been shown to exhibit stationary-phase-dependent variation in their resistance inactivation by high hydrostatic pressure. In this report we demonstrate that loss the stationary-phase-inducible sigma factor RpoS resulted decreased pressure E. and a commensal strain. Furthermore, activity correlated with those strains. Heterogeneity was noted rpoS alleles may explain differences activity. These results are consistent role for mediating O157:H7.
