摘要: The environmental aftereffects of the terminal Cretaceous impact are examined on basis carbon and nitrogen geochemistry in basal layer K-T boundary clay at Woodside Creek, New Zealand. It is shown that organic this level enriched by 15 20 times values, respectively. Also, it found N abundances and, to a lesser extent, C closely correlated with Ir abundances. changes content through outlined, focusing possible conditions which could have caused enrichment. In addition, consideration given soot pyrotoxin content. Possible scenarios for event importance selective extinction discussed.
