摘要: There is provided a method for storage, retrieval and transmission comprising: the steps of receiving hierarchical digital image data from source (1), where images are analysed further decomposed as set elementary areas in which any such area one at given level hierarchy corresponds to group upper each hierarchy, consecutive sorted out first file, position said file indexed second length bytes stored third file; passing storing index these files used when retrieving storage means (3) portion selected by control signal (5) issued display apparatus (10) selection refers an or coarser resolution hierarchy; buffering requested higher organised order form sequence be transmitted across (9) that suitable apparatus.
