摘要: Needle aspirates from 53 inflamed cervical lymph glands were studied for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria mycobacteria. Bacterial growth was achieved in 45 patients (85%). Sixty-six bacterial isolates recovered, aver aging 1.5 per specimen (0.8 aerobes 0.7 anaerobes), with as many 4 some specimens. Aerobic organisms alone recovered 27 (60%) of the culture-positive aspirates, 8 (18%), mixed 9 specimens (20%). Mycobacterium scrofulaceum one (2%). The predominant Staphylococcus aureus (14 isolates) group A beta hemolytic streptococci (8). total 31 anaerobes including gram-positive cocci (9, 6 Peptococcus sp. 3 Peptostreptococcussp.), Bacteroides (including B. melaninogenicus), 5 Propionibacterium acnes, Fusobacterium nucleatum. These data demonstrate role lym...
