Rationality and aggregation of preferences in an ordinally fuzzy framework

摘要: Abstract The paper explores the problem of aggregating ordinally fuzzy individual preferences into social preferences. Using Goguen's ordinal formulation fuzziness, it is shown that, given certain plausible conditions, requirement that society's should satisfy any several alternative transitivity conditions creates a dilemma: either power in society rather unevenly distributed, or tends to be indecisive. increases as weaker are replaced by stronger ones.
