摘要: Dose-related abnormalities in renal function occurred ten of 18 patients following administration methoxyflurane (Penthrane) with the usual anesthetic adjuvants. Eight control anesthetized halothane (Fluothane) showed no function. Subclinical toxicity at minimum alveolar concentration (MAC) for 2.5 to 3 hours, that is MAC hours (serum inorganic fluoride, >50 micromols/liter), while clinical was present all dosages greater than five >90 micromols/liter). Superimposed on dose-response relationship were other factors probably increased nephrotoxicity. These as follows: individual variations metabolism methoxyflurane; sensitivity nephrotoxic effects fluoride; presence enzyme induction; and interaction drugs. The use anesthesia should be restricted situations where it offers specific advantages less can attained.
