Modeling Public Health Care Expenditure Using Patient Level Data: Empirical Evidence from Italy

摘要: In this work we present some results obtained with a unique database of patient level data collected through GPs. The availability such opens new scenarios and paradigms for the planning management health care system policy impact evaluation studies. set, representative Italian population, contains detailed information on prescribed drugs, laboratory tests, outpatient visits hospitalizations more than 2 millions patients, managed by 900 GPs overtime. This pool registers has produced stock about 25 medical diagnosis, 100 diagnostic 10 blood pressure measurements 50 drug prescriptions. Using novel set analyze expenditures NHS over time, across age geographical areas period from 2004 to 2011.
