摘要: Objective To investigate the efficacy of a behavior change program named Vida Ativa Melhorando Saude on cardiovascular parameters in hypertensive patients. Methods Ninety patients aged over 40 years were randomly allocated to one two groups: or Control (n=45 respectively). Patients group took part aimed encourage changes physical activity levels and eating habits, according Social Cognitive Theory. The consisted 90-minute weekly meetings conducted by therapist dietitian. One chapter educational material (workbook) provided was discussed per meeting. Participants Group attended single educative lecture lifestyle changes. Brachial central blood pressure, arterial stiffness endothelial function measured pre- post-intervention. Results led reduction brachial (131.3±15.8mmHg 125.1±17.3mmHg; p 0.05). Conclusion improved pressure microvascular reactivity Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT02257268.
