摘要: Abstract Some earthquakes to Mw5 level are occurring along two faults viz. Kachchh Mainland Fault and South Wagad near the epicenter of Mw7.7 Bhuj earthquake 2001. These not causative fault 2001 suspect for future large earthquake. In absence detail geophysical surveys, sub-surface orientation these was known MT profiles have proved useful in delineating subsurface trends. Two having lengths 24 km 15 km (with an inter station spacing 1–3 km) taken about 10 km east west Mw7.7, earthquake, respectively. The nearly N–S direction detect which trend E–W area. From 2-D inversion data 23 stations, it is found that there distinctive conductive features matching with south both being apart. seen extending Banni low lying area 30 km present trace.
