摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses molecular characterization of protein membrane receptor carried out by two methods: (1) gel filtration or a non-ionic detergent, lacking in resolving power the usual and convenient experimental column set-ups, (2) polyacrylamide electrophoresis (PAGE) sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS)-containing buffers, after full denaturation cleavage into its subunits. Gel detergent-containing buffers native receptors is been applied to physical insulin receptor. There are numerous pitfalls PAGE species—namely, evaluating degree inactivation any set detergent conditions, assessing species fractionated, (3) receptor-detergent complex, complex involving other species, (4) quantitatively unknown effects concentration, ionic strength, temperature, pH, (5) parameter descriptive size.
