摘要: A Mycoplasma pneumoniae cytadhesin P1 gene with novel nucleotide sequence variation has been identified. Four clinical strains of M. were found to carry this type gene. This new is similar the known group II genes but possesses approximately 300 bp in RepMP2/3 region. The position variable region distant from previously reported regions differ between I and genes. Two sequences closely homologous within repetitive outside M129 genome. suggests that was generated by DNA recombination locus. finding supports hypothesis genome serve as a reservoir generate antigenic
