摘要: Worldwide, gastric cancer-related mortality has declined dramatically since the 1930s. However, cancer remains a lethal disease, especially when it is diagnosed at an advanced stage. In cancer, lesion extends beyond proper muscle layer. Advanced cancers are usually classified into four types (types 1–4) by their gross appearance. If ulcerative mass 2 and 3) found, least six to eight biopsy specimens from all quadrants of ulcer margin base necessary detect carcinoma. The diffuse infiltrative form (type 4) easily missed on endoscopic examination, in many cases, results histological examination may be negative, even repetitive biopsy. Therefore, important retrieve any abnormal mucosal areas such as redness, erosion, or tiny ulcer.
