摘要: Candida parapsilosis is an increasingly important human pathogen. To study the interactions of C. with tissues, we evaluated effects CBS 604 type strain and three different clinical isolates on reconstituted oral epithelial epidermal tissues. The newly described species orthopsilosis metapsilosis were also examined in these models. Microscopy tissues infected yeast cells revealed severe attenuation, morphological changes cellular damage. caused damage similar to isolates, whereas was less virulent. further quantitate tissue damage, measured lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) culture supernatant. relative LDH measurements correlated our histopathological observations. We effect lipase inhibitor Ebelactone B proteinase Pepstatin A, establish utility this model for studying factors virulence. Both A reduced destruction Our data show that are extremely useful modeling host fungal virulence factors.
