摘要: In neurodegenerative disorders, abnormally hyperphosphorylated and aggregated tau accumulates intracellularly, a mechanism which is thought to induce neuronal cell death. Methylene blue, type of phenothiazine, has been reported inhibit aggregation in vitro. However, the effect methylene blue vivo remained unknown. Therefore, we examined whether suppresses abnormal accumulation using P301L transgenic mice. At 8 11 months age, these mice were orally administered for 5 months. Subsequent results Western blotting analysis revealed that this agent reduced detergent-insoluble phospho-tau. may have potential as drug candidate treatment tauopathy.
