摘要: Coal and coal seam gas mining have impacts on the water sediment quality in proximity of areas, increasing concentrations heavy metals downstream mine discharge points. The objective this study was to assess impact environment Sydney region, by investigating macroinvertebrates chlorophyll as indicators industrial pollution environmental impairment. revealed changes abundance, taxonomic richness, sensitive macroinvertebrate groups. A statistical evaluation aquatic life performed a correlation contaminants with presence community ecosystem were studied. sustainability investigated rivers streams chemistry affecting biological system assessed. non-uniformity observed, indicating difference tolerance level different invertebrates.
