摘要: Electroencephalography (EEG) emerged in the second decade of 20th century as a technique for recording neurophysiological response. Since then, there has been little variation physical principles that sustain signal acquisition probes, otherwise called electrodes. Currently, new advances technology have brought unexpected fields applications apart from clinical, which aspects such usability and gel-free operation are first order priorities. Thanks to materials integrated electronic systems technologies, generation dry electrodes developed fulfill need. In this manuscript, we review current approaches develop EEG clinical other applications, including information about measurement methods evaluation reports. We conclude that, although broad non-homogeneous diversity evaluated without consensus procedures methodology, their performances not far those obtained with wet electrodes, considered gold standard, thus enabling former be useful tool variety novel applications.
