摘要: Rainfall-runoff processes in a small oil palm catchment (8.2 ha) Johor, Malaysia were examined. Storm hydrographs show rapid responses to rainfall with short time peak. The estimated initial hydrologic loss for the is 5 mm. Despite low loss, exhibits high proportion of baseflow, approximately 54% total runoff. On an event basis, stormflow response factor and runoff coefficient ranges from 0.003 0.21, 0.02 0.44, respectively. Peakflow volume moderately correlated rainfall. satisfactorily modelled using Hydrologic Engineering Centre-Hydrologic Modelling System (HEC-HMS). efficiency indexes calibration validation exercises are 0.81 0.82, Based on these preliminary findings, it could be suggested that plantation would able serve reasonably well regulating basic hydrological functions.
