Community-based participatory research in Boston's neighborhoods: A review of asthma case examples.

摘要: Three case examples of asthma studies that differ in terms community and involvement are considered. The Boston Chinatown faced limited funding restricted the level involvement, but resulted some first published evidence about Asian American children. These led to an education program grant a local clinic elementary school. public housing study was well-funded multi-year pest management with city, university partners. Residents were trained collect data participated throughout study. Follow up pesticide buy-back programs headed by city partners have been funded. Dorchester had more funding, greatest parents asthmatic children all phases research. This survey interesting novel finding lower prevalence foreign born black residents.
