摘要: A new technique developed at the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) for establishing standard, uniform, electromagnetic (EM) fields in a shielded environment is described. The employs transverse (TEM) transmission cells that operate as 50 ? impedance-matched systems. uniform TEM field established inside cell any frequency interestbelow which higher order modes begin to propagate. Standard strength levels from 10 ?V/m 500 V/m can be with uncertainties less than 1.0 dB 2.0 NBS frequencies dc MHz. are especially useful calibrating EM radiation hazard meters, emission and susceptibility testing small medium sized equipment, special low level calibration very sensitive meters.
