摘要: Abstract —Vastus lateralis (VL) and vastus medialis (VM) are frequently targeted in conditioning/rehabilitation programs due to their role patellar stabilization during knee extension. This study assessed neural muscular adaptations these two muscles after an isokinetic eccentric training program. Twenty healthy men underwent a four-week control period followed by 12-week of training. Ultrasound evaluations VL VM muscle thi -ckness at rest electromyographic maximal isometric tests were used assess the morphological properties, respectively. No changes found throughout period, whereas both showed significant increases thickness (VL = 6.9%; p .05) post-training. Isokinetic produces greater compared VL, which shows that synergistic respond differently strength program. Keywords: extensors, dynamometry, ultrasonography, electromyography
