摘要: Abstract Recently, a new Ehrlichia genetic variant, sp. Khabarovsk, was identified in tissue samples of small mammals captured the Russian Far East. To further characterize homogenate from naturally infected gray red-backed vole ( Myodes rufocanus ) passaged three times newborn laboratory mice. Using nested PCR Khabarovsk DNA detected mice at 1–4 weeks post inoculation. Electron microscopic examination revealed morulae containing gram-negative bacterial cells monocytes mouse spleen and liver. The size ultrastructure these corresponded to those described previously allowed us identify bacteria as comparison ehrlichial 16S rRNA, groEL gltA genes putative GroEL GltA amino acid sequences has demonstrated that like ruminantium , is more distant all other species than are between themselves. Phylogenetic analysis shown belongs clade formed by spp. but clusters separately variants. These data indicate can be considered candidate species. We propose designate it ‘ Candidatus khabarensis’ according territory where this found.
