摘要: Two novel potential bridging ligands derived from terephtaldialdehyde, namely l,4-bis((pyridine-3-ylimino)methyl)benzene (1) and l,4-bis-((l-benzylpiperidin-4-ylimino)methyl)benzene (2), were prepared by the Schiff base condensation. They characterised means of IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis also powder single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The molecules 1 form ID chains intermolecular C-H...N interactions. molecular conformation 2, governed intramolecular interactions, does not permit formation interactions analogous to those in 1. As a consequence, 2 has markedly lower melting point fusion enthalpy than 1, although its weight is almost double that
