摘要: Background: The objective of this study was to compare the performance Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) total score as well item scores in separating 4 groups elderly (55–85 years age) subjects—normal controls, subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), Alzheimer's disease, and depression. Method: MMSE 86 (25 normal 26 MCI, 10 25 depression) were analyzed. Statistically significant differences between both overall individual documented. Receiver operating characteristic curves constructed yield further data. Results: disease group significantly below those control, depression (p < .001). MCI lower than control = .005) but not different from depression. Furthermore, responses controls. delayed recall statistically versus other 3 did separate each other. Conclusion: effectively separates aging, it is relatively ineffective individuals Measures may need be implemented evaluate mental status more aging.
