However, little is known about the effects of disorders on patient spinal In current study, we sought investigate characteristics patients illness, particularly anxiety, major depressive disorder, concurrent anxiety and schizophrenia, impact these conditions undergoing anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF) using national administrative database. methods The National Readmissions Database (NRD) was queried for an ACDF between 2012 September 30th, 2015. presence schizophrenia were captured International Classification Diseases, Ninth Revision (ICD-9) codes. Multivariable logistic regression used establish association comorbidity risk 30- 90- day readmission. Results A total 139,877 elective 2012–2015 identified, which 15,927 (11.39 %) had 514 (0.38 248 (0.18 287 (0.21 schizophrenia. Upon multivariable analysis procedural related readmissions, adjusting array hospital factors, compared controls, significantly higher 30-day readmission (OR 2.62, 95 %CI 1.42–4.84, p = 0.002); moreover, (OR = 1.92, % CI 1.13–3.25, p = 0.016) (OR = 1.13, 1.02–1.26, p = 0.023) also associated 90-day Conclusion Our indicates that comorbidities may be increased rates procedure longer length stay ACDF.
