摘要: Given the large adoption and economical impact of permissionless blockchains, complexity underlying systems adversarial environment in which they operate, it is fundamental to properly study understand emergent behavior properties these systems. We describe our experience on a detailed, one-month Ethereum network from several geographically dispersed observation points. leverage multiple geographic vantage points assess key pillars Ethereum, namely geographical dispersion, efficiency, blockchain efficiency security, mining pools. Among other new findings, we identify previously undocumented forms selfish show that prevalence powerful pools exacerbates block propagation delays. Furthermore, provide set open measurement processing tools, as well data collected measurements, order promote further research understanding blockchains.
