摘要: Study objective To determine the indications for preoperative localization of a small indeterminate pulmonary nodule. Design In this retrospective study, univariate and multivariate analyses were performed by logistic regression procedure. Setting A single National Cancer Center Hospital in Japan. Patients series 92 consecutive patients who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) at our institute between 1993 1996. Interventions The frequency reasons conversion to thoracotomy assessed retrospectively. All CT scans reviewed eight radiologic features two authors. These data entered into identify significant risk factors failure detect Measurements results Fifty (54%) needed thoracotomy. most common reason was localize nodules (46%). Univariate 11 variables revealed one factor nodules: distance nearest pleural surface (p 5 mm cases ≤ 10 size, probability nodule 63%. Conclusions Our suggested peripheral Preoperative marking should be considered when is > lung of≤ size.
