摘要: The composition and biomass of the microalgal community at water-column/sediment interface on continental shelf off Parana State (Brazil) were studied every 2 months during 1999. Samples for cell identification determination chlorophyll a taken from layer discrete depths up to 4 m above sediment. Results showed mainly formed by benthic planktonic diatoms >30 µm, 30 which accounted most pigment biomass, resuspended after turbulent periods, may take advantage calm periods stay grow interface. Small more susceptible wind-induced turbulence occurring in higher densities water column just water-sediment A cyanobacterial bloom (Trichodesmiun) was observed these bottom layers spring-summer periods.
