摘要: Conversion of the aflatoxin biosynthetic intermediate versiconal hemiacetal acetate (VHA) in a cell free extract ofAspergillus parasiticus ATCC 15517 is investigated. The enzymatic reaction monitored by method using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). major product water soluble compound not chloroform-extractable at pH 7.5. becomes chloroform extractable upon acidification medium and separated quantitated reversed-phase HPLC. It tentatively identified as ‘versiconal alcohol,’ which converted to versicolorin C (VC) acid treatment.
