摘要: Aphasia is a highly disabling language disorder usually caused by left-lateralized brain damage. Even if traditional linguistic-based therapies have been proved to induce an adequate clinical improvement, large percentage of patients are left with some degree impairments. Therefore, new approaches common speech urgently needed in order maximize the recovery from aphasia. The recent application non-invasive neurostimulation techniques rehabilitation has already provided promising results particularly for word-retrieval deficits chronic stroke aphasic patients. Positive outcomes also come action observation therapy. Indeed, very studies shown that and/or execution gestures positively influences especially words related human actions. This article gives overview most important achieved using these two and discusses how treatments might potentiate aphasia recovery.
