摘要: Synchronous and metachronous ovarian appendiceal mucinous tumors are often the subject of diagnostic consultations in gynecologic pathology practices to address whether independent neoplasms or related as primary metastasis. Those with goblet cell carcinoidlike patterns have not been extensively evaluated a large series. Clinicopathologic features 30 cases were examined. All patients presented signs symptoms pelvic/adnexal abdominal mass. The bilateral 25 28 data on both ovaries typically (mean/median: 14 cm, range: 4.5 24.0 cm). appendices firm thickened but usually did discrete measurable tumor notably enlarged; microscopically, transmural invasion was present all them. exhibited variety differentiation, including signet ring glandular, displaying some (nests, islands, cords, cryptlike tubules cells); teratomatous elements identified any tumors.
