摘要: Objective: To explore the effect of early enteral nutrition (EN) on postoperative nutritional status, intestinal permeability, and immune function in elderly patients with esophageal cancer or cardiac cancer. Methods: A total 96 who underwent surgical treatment our hospital from June 2007 to December 2010 were enrolled this study. They divided into EN group (n=50) parenteral (PN) (n=46) based support modes. The body weight, time first flatus/defecation, average stay, complications mortality after surgery as well liver indicators recorded analyzed. Peripheral blood samples collected days 1, 4 7 surgery. plasma diamine oxidase (DAO) activity D-lactate level determined assess permeability. endotoxin levels using dynamic turbidimetric assay protective mucosal barrier. inflammatory cytokines immunoglobulins enzyme-linked immunosorbent (ELISA). Results: After surgery, significantly less than those PN (P<0.05), whereas had higher albumin (P<0.05). On 7th day, DAO activity, contents lower (all P<0.05). In addition, IgA, IgG, IgM, CD4 (P<0.05) but IL-2, IL-6, TNF-α (P<0.05). Conclusions: cancer, can effectively improve protect barrier (by reducing endotoxins), enhance function.
