摘要: Abstract Mediterranean coastal dunes have been highly modified by human impacts and understanding their conservation status is crucial to preserve these extremely vulnerable habitats. In the present study three different diversity indices elaborated Grunewald Schubert (H dune , a version of Shannon index, E Evenness N, Naturalness index) were applied in order assess anthropogenic on Is Arenas system (CW Sardinia), one widest most important Western Basin. Within system, two sites with anthropic disturbance conditions selected; 25 permanent plots seasonally monitored cover each vascular plant was visually estimated. The H values similar between differences not significant; showed higher value North than South site relevant statistical differences. Moreover seasonal variation recorded, which could be linked presence annual plants rather touristic pressure. Instead, small variability N index suggests that application this may an tool impact dunes, but better discriminates degrees. Our results highlight usefulness while are less influenced trampling at finer scale (sites within beach). Spring summer best seasons when main can captured. applied, although need developed through further researches, quickly allowing integrity plan management actions complex threatened ecosystems.
