A short review on the structure–function relationship of artificial catecholase/tyrosinase and nuclease activities of Cu-complexes

摘要: The synthesis of metal complexes has vastly increased the scope research for many scientists during two last decades. Among these compounds, artificial tyrosinases, catecholases, proteases, and nucleases are some most studied due to their importance as modern tools in fields medicine, scientific research, industry. Transition metals such Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Fe(3+), Co(3+), Ni(2+), lanthanide ions commonly used. ions, copper have been focus majority studies thanks significant activity comparison with other ions. Studies copper-based revealed overarching factors affecting reactions all three types, which led improved efficiency all. Key include proper core-core distance, (Cu⋯Cu distance 2.90-2.99 A), suitable solvent, ligands hydrophobic structure geometry. In present investigation, we review introduce proposed mechanisms kinetically effective natural catecholase, tyrosinase, nuclease Cu-based synthetic mimics.
