摘要: Background We tested the hypotheses that certain neurocognitive impairments index genetic liability to schizophrenia and childhood-onset schizophrenia(COS) is a variant of adult-onset (AOS) by determining whether parents COS probands show types found in relatives AOS probands. Methods Parents (n = 79) were compared with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD; n 190) community control (CC; 115) on 3 tasks shown previous research detect patients ADHD AOS. diagnosis psychosis excluded from study. Results On Degraded Stimulus–Continuous Performance Test Trail-Making B–Adolescent Version, performed significantly worse than CC probands, who did not differ each other. Span Apprehension, we no significant group differences. Using rigorous cutoffs, combination scores tests identified 16 (20%) mothers fathers 0% There was diagnostic specificity impairments. A 6 (12%) vs cutoff 2 (2%) classified 5 (17%) differences functions between Conclusions The aggregation provides further evidence etiologic continuity substantial subgroup had performance any Receiver operating characteristic curves showed when cutoffs define impairments, produced level accuracy sufficient for use linkage studies.
