摘要: South Africa is now in its eighteenth year of democracy. However, a major problem that we are facing the scourge HIV/AIDS pandemic throughout Africa, with most seriously affected areas being Sub-Saharan Africa. Despite National Strategic Plan (NSP) for HIV/AIDS, government authorities have been unable to stem tide daily HIV infections amongst all people. Education seems be one powerful weapons fight this pandemic; hence it expected HEIs respond meaningful manner order on university campuses. HEAIDS took initiative bring role players together devise plans how deal at HEIs. fact 22 out 23 higher education institutions surveyed by 2008 were engaged peer training programmes, none them monitored or evaluated these programmes. The aim study evaluate and establish influence programme students selected HEI Western Cape. An evaluation research design was employed, using mixed methods approach collect data. A Logic Model developed which assisted me design. I used Bandura's social cognitive theory (SCT) assist analysis interpretation attempted understand key issues involved programme, challenges faced staff implementation educators experienced as well experiences other who interacted educators. quantitative data revealed more work needs done regard behaviour change study, qualitative showed need develop skills empower themselves facilitate workshops enhance their communication skills.
