摘要: Over the past 25 years, there have been dramatic changes in management of diabetes and its complications resulting from application evidence randomized controlled clinical trials showing efficacy photocoagulation treatment (e.g., Diabetic Retinopathy Study [DRS], Early Treatment [ETDRS]), glycemic blood pressure control Diabetes Control Complications Trial [DCCT], United Kingdom Prospective [UKPDS]) (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Translation these findings to care resulted incidence progression retinopathy resultant visual loss persons with diabetes. The purpose this chapter is review epidemiology diabetic over period change.
