摘要: Abstract This study looks at MHD natural convection flow and heat transfer in a laterally heated enclosure with an off-centred partition. Governing equations the form of vorticity–stream function formulation are solved using polynomial differential quadrature (PDQ) method. Numerical results obtained for various values partition location, Rayleigh, Prandtl Hartmann numbers. The indicate that magnetic field significantly suppresses flow, thus transfer, especially high Rayleigh number values. also show x-directional is more effective damping than y-directional field, average rate decreases increase distance from hot wall. up to 80% if placed midpoint applied. have little dependence on number.
