On modelling an iceberg embedded in shore-fast sea ice

摘要: The effect of long ice-coupled waves impinging on a tabular iceberg, an ice island or thick sea floe trapped within thin veneer shore fast substantial extent is considered. most likely originate as ocean in the open beyond boundary, from where they propagate into ice. There their character altered because flexural properties geophysical / engineering problem posed solved by Green's function method that redevelops, for different surface boundary condition, earlier study concerned with freely floating floe. Reflection and transmission coefficients berg are found to depend strongly its thickness length. Amongst other things, work relates operational safety natural artificially thickened Arctic platforms located contiguous sheet.
