摘要: The effects of short-term administration (2 to 4 wk) sex hormones on the immune system normal (C57BL/6) and autoimmune (C57BL/6-lpr, C3H/lpr, B/W) strains mice were investigated. Both estrogen (E2) testosterone (Te) had significant numbers T B cells as well density cell surface antigens demonstrated by flow cytometry. For example, Te depleted Thy-1.2+ thymocytes in brought about a shift lower cells. Lyt-2+ appeared be main target hormonal modulation mice. significantly these thymus but differential peripheral lymphoid organs, particularly spleen. In general, E2 cells, whereas increased or maintained this subpopulation spleen lymph nodes. Similarly, suppressor activity IL 2 production per basis E2-treated animals was diminished, Te-treated enhanced activity. relevance findings susceptibility diseases is discussed.
