摘要: With the aim of enhancing nutrient removal from rural domestic wastewater while reducing cost treatment process, a novel, integrated system consisting multi-stage bio-filter with drop aeration and post positioned attached growth carbonaceous denitrifying bio-reactor was designed developed in this study. The packed ‘dolochar’, sponge iron industry waste, as an adsorbent mainly for phosphate through physicochemical approach. many waste organic solid substances (WOSS) carbon sources substrates biomass attachment, to remove nitrate biological denitrification process. performance modular system, treating real monitored period about 60 days average efficiencies during were follows: phosphate, 99.48%; nitrate, 92.44%, ammonia, 96.64%, mean final effluent concentration 0.153, 5.5, 1.06 mg L−1, respectively. This would allow multipurpose reuse effluent. Moreover, saturated dolochar can be used supply agricultural practices partially degraded also fertilizer after composting. Thus, displays immense potential significantly by decreasing concentrations most importantly, facilitating conversion materials into usable ones.
