摘要: Abstract Virtualization technology is the backbone of cloud systems, fastest-growing energy consumers, globally. It holds an imperative position in resource management area by providing solutions for many related critical problems and challenges. Resource consolidation remains one techniques most used to develop new more efficient policies. Virtual machine packing, which mainly addressed, allows data centers move from a particular state optimized one. Currently, unprecedented advancements container-based containerized workloads have created opportunities. In this article, we study problem consolidating within distributed systems. We give generic view on IT at different levels services. Firstly, present overview virtualized consolidation. Next, brief thematic taxonomy illustration some literature. This presentation will then be followed discussion certain research questions as well proposal number future orientations field assume essential order contribute resolution problematic dealt with article.
