摘要: This report describes conceptually an approach to providing automated remote performance and conditioning monitoring fault detection for air conditioners heat pumps that shows great promise reduce the capital installation costs of such systems from over $1000 per unit $200 $400 unit. The relies on non-intrusive electric load (NIELM) enable separation power use signals compressors fans in conditioner or pump. Then combining information uses one two temperature measurements, changes energy efficiency occurrence major faults would be detected. By decreasing number sensors used between ten twenty current diagnostic three envisaged system, cost system hardware labor decreased significantly. After describing problem being addressed concept more detail, identifies specific conditions proposed method detect, discusses needs successful NIELM approach, elements path a commercialized system.
