摘要: Purpose: To analyze spatio-temporal variations of neonatal length in-hospital stay in Canada. Method: The 1,469,761 newborns Canadian hospitals from April 1, 1984 to March 31, 1995 recorded by the Institute for Health Information was analyzed. Results: Neonatal decreased an average 5.0 days 2.9 1994. In 1994, Alberta 2.5 days, which 0.2 1.5 shorter than other provinces. could not be explained corresponding birthweight and disorders. Conclusions: has been substantially reduced Canada recent years but there remain important interprovincial variations. These are unlikely results changes or differences patient-specific factors; policy played role.
