摘要: An unconventional interaction between a patient and parasites was recently reported, in which parasitic cells invaded host's tissues, establishing several tumors. This finding raises various intriguing hypotheses on unpredicted forms of interplay infecting parasites. Here we present four unusual hypothetical host-parasite scenarios with medical consequences. Relatively simple experimental designs are described order to evaluate such hypotheses. The first one refers the possibility metabolic disorders intoxicating host. second is patients inborn errors metabolism (IEM) being more resistant (due accumulation toxic compounds bloodstream). third mirrored scenario: development tumors due ingestion circulating cancer cells. last describes complex relationship accumulating metabolite supplying it an IEM.
