Modelling of dependence between critical failure and preventive maintenance: The repair alert model

摘要: We consider the competing risks problem for a repairable unit which at each sojourn may be subject to either critical failure, or preventive maintenance (PM) action, where latter will prevent failure. It is reasonable expect dependence between failure mechanism and PM regime. The paper presents new model, called repair alert handling such cases. This model special case of random signs censoring, was introduced by Roger Cooke [Statistics Probability Letters, 18:307-312, 1993]. pleasant feature censoring that marginal distribution time identiable. introduces so function, characterizes "alertness" crew, shown uniquely identiable from eld data. Statistical estimation considered both nonparametrically parametrically.
