摘要: A robust and accurate method is presented for the geostatistical mapping of marine grain-size data Aegean Sea, incorporating new making use various marine-environmental proxy parameters interpolation. This approach based on an indicator kriging algorithm, which also considers environment parameters, such as bathymetry sediment sourcing, through a co-kriging treatment. Data manipulation carried out without need specialised software, in geographic information system (GIS) environment, with implementation analysis tools. The quality produced map was assessed MESH criteria, yielding total score 74%; comparison other interpolation methods, IDW local polynomials showed better representation physical context surficial sediments. map, all existing from recent legacy data, provides valuable sedimentation Northern continental shelf, area significant scientific interest geomorphological, palaeoenvironmental economic studies.
