摘要: Invasive aspergillosis (IA) remains a devastating disease in immune compromised patients despite significant advances our understanding of fungal virulence and host defense mechanisms. In this review, we summarize important research the fight against IA with particular focus on early events interactions between Aspergillus fumigatus that occur respiratory tract. Advances mechanisms effector cell recruitment, antifungal mechanisms, how dynamic host-fungal interaction alters local microenvironment to effect outcomes are highlighted. These illustrate exciting new therapeutic opportunities, but also emphasize importance each unique fungus-host for improving patient outcomes.
