摘要: A three-dimensional finite element model of a three-bolt, single-lap composite joint is constructed using the non-linear code MSC.Marc. The validated against an experiment where load distribution in measured instrumented bolts. Two different configurations are examined, one with neat-fit clearances at each bolt-hole and another 240 µm clearance hole neat-fits others. Bearing by-pass stresses extracted from used conjunction published bearing/by-pass diagrams to predict failure load, mode location for joints. It shown that proposed accurately predicts behaviour joints, as determined experiments on three-bolt joints loaded failure. also introducing into significantly changes sequence, but does not affect ultimate or location. method demonstrates simple approach predicting damage complex multi-bolt
